New Softball Pitching Instructor: Lizzie Smith

Capps Academy is proud to announce the addition of Lizzie Smith to our growing softball pitching staff!

Lizzie’s journey through the game has been defined by hard work, leadership, and a love for competition. A standout player from Scecina Memorial High School, she helped lead her team to a 2A State Championship, cementing her place among Indiana’s top prep pitchers.

After high school, Lizzie continued her softball career at the collegiate level, pitching for four years at Manchester University, where she developed both her skills and her passion for helping others grow in the circle.

In recent years, Lizzie has focused her energy on coaching and developing young pitchers, sharing the same drive and discipline that fueled her own success. Her ability to connect with athletes and teach the finer points of pitching—mechanics, mindset, and confidence—makes her a perfect fit for the Capps Academy culture.

We’re excited to have Lizzie’s championship experience and coaching expertise guiding our next generation of pitchers.

You can find Lizzie at the facility on Mondays and Wednesdays training our upcoming all-star pitchers.
