New Catching Instructor: TJ Waltz

Capps Academy is thrilled to welcome TJ Waltz as our new catching instructor! TJ brings a wealth of experience and passion for the game, and he’s ready to help athletes take their catching skills to the next level.

At Capps Academy, TJ will guide players through a comprehensive, four-phase catching program that covers receiving, throwing, blocking, and game knowledge. Whether you’re looking to improve your fundamentals or gain a competitive edge behind the plate, TJ’s approach is designed to develop confident, well-rounded catchers.

TJ is no stranger to the world of baseball. He has coached high school catchers, helping them refine their skills and understand the game from behind the plate. He also continues to play at a high level in slow-pitch softball, giving him a unique perspective on both the physical and mental demands of the game.
